I had a much milder version of this get played on me one time - I noticed my live in gf had started packing up some of her things, hidden but obviously meant to be found in the walk in closet. When I asked wtf was going on, she said she didn't actually want to leave, but had pulled the packing up bit so I would "take her seriously" with various petty demands she had been making (one of which was she insisted on having her cat's litter box in the bedroom, which I did not allow. Fucking disgusting).

She was picking her things up off the porch by the end of that day. Dumb cunt.

I remember my divorce. Bitch demanded the divorce, and then wouldn't go get the papers, wouldn't move out, couldn't get rid of her.
Started dating (fucking) a "friend" of the family and still expected me to pay her bills. I had to force her to sign the paperwork that I had to go get, fill out, and file. I had to pack her shit, and move her out, and get all our accounts and bills separated. Then she still had the balls to demand I give her money to support her. I had to explain in great detail how I wasn't paying for another man's pussy, so she took me to court for child support.
I was laid up at the time and recovering from a horrible car accident that almost killed me and left me temporarily crippled. The judge ruled she owed me child support and then I had to argue with the judge that I didn't want her money.
Now she's a drug dealers junky bitch that just lays in bed smoking fentanyl all day and looks like a living mummified Auschwitz camper.
Dumb bitch could have had a good life if she just sat on the couch and raised my kids
