This is only my second time up here, spent the last week going between L'Anse, Munising, Perkins, Escanaba, and Iron Mountain.

Gotta take a trip to the Keweenaw or the Porkies, so beautiful. Tho we do still have some snow on the ground in the Keweenaw. Brockway Mountain is truly breathtaking, its about an hour and a half from L'Anse. Hope you enjoy, if you need any tips on food or the like just holler.

In the Porkies Lake of the Clouds, is incredible and a pretty easy hike. Lots of water falls all over the place up here too.

Day or night one must always pay attention. During the rough winters we feed them a bit and have had up to 40 deer in the yard, im positive they speak to one another telepathically. We live in the middle of no where so no worries on our feeding causing accidents.

You definitely picked the right time to come up, black flies are low, skeeters are just getting started and the no-see-ums are non existent. A few ticks but nothing bad. Black flies are usually gone by the end of August.

Have you gone to The Hilltop Restaurant for cinnamon roll french toast? Hardwood Steakhouse in Covington has some great burgers in addition to their steaks.

Marquette is only about an hour and a half east, less if one has a heavy foot. Troopers are easy to spot as they all have a big orange light on top of their vehicles.

Most would prefer being our own state but there isnt enough population to support it. Maybe if they gave us the top half of WI, Illinois can have the rest since they are all fleeing there anyways.

Keep going west to the Porkies, some of the most beautiful scenery in the Yoop. Or drive north to Copper Harbor and drive up Brockway Mountain, so pretty as it overlooks Lake Superior. Dont forget the Thimblieberry Jam!

In order for the Earth to be sphere shaped, you cant have vast expanses of flat plains.

There needs to be 8 inches of curve per squared mile in every direction to form a sphere shape.
