I'm pretty rural. Finding like minded people is hard. Most are somewhat aware in the area, but not to the extent needed.
Start with radio clubs, branch out from there. The people in the clubs are often community minded, privacy oriented, and open to discussion. Most discussion can't happen over the open air though.
You can get a GMRS license for cheap and use a similarly priced Baofeng radio to connect to local repeaters.
Look for any in your area that are 70cm or 2m bands: https://www.repeaterbook.com/index.php/en-us/
Once you configure the radio to connect, reach out to the repeater with your call sign from your license and meet people who are otherwise inclined.
Frames are fun. We have 3 of them throughout the house, my office has one which is just used for art, and once every 3 months or so I cast something to it. The living room is similar to yours. It's nice being able to rock out. I guess I'm younger with black metal like Dimmu Borgir and northern viking music like heilung and warundra.
From what I read, it was another Bible of hers that had sentimental value. Not entirely sure. In another picture it's clearly a different book, but the resolution is not quite high enough to know which.
The works of plato. It started with his dialogue on justice. It opened me up to a grey world where even simple things can be complex once you start to analyze them. It eventually led me to think critically about many aspects of life and is a big factor in why I am here on this site today.
Rural places have a chance for decent food. Our small town has farmers markets and a few of the restaurants buy from the markets and prep/sell the dishes throughout the week. It makes for a nice farm to table ecosystem keeping things as local as we can.
I tend to waste their time, play along. I can work while bullshitting a scammer pretty well. Often times I have to go "look for my wallet" and mute my phone for a while. The goal is to burn as much of their time as possible as its the only thing they value.
The calls have tapered off overall, so it seems to have worked.
I've read it is the use of the word 3 or 4 times per post, however I've seen posts explaining it and using nigger 5-6 times throughout the post. Almost as if it was a shit post about the rule, which got to leak through.
It can be hard to stop once I start. I don't quite lose all self control, but I do struggle to maintain it. Nursing a beer over an hour isn't terribly hard, but it can be harder to stop at that one beer.
Those are hard lessons to learn remotely, the visual of your uncle burns into your mind in a way stories just can't do. Thanks for sharing though. My family is mostly a sober one, I've tended to be the drunk one the last year or two.
Reasonably safe would be things like: riding defensively, assuming others are going to not see you and take actions you see fit to minimize inevitable harm, wearing proper body armor (damage mitigation).
Yeah, you are not as safe as in a car, but there are definitely ways to improve your odds of survival.

They have eyes, we have eyes. They have lungs, we have lungs. They have a central nervous system, we have a central nervous system.
We're much more alike than you think to most animals when you think about the shared biology.
