It's pretty obvious there are political agencies running amok on this site, employing every tactic under the sun to divert, distract and destroy conversations that go against their narrative. They're eagerly trying to derail any conversation with the intent of driving away new users. Think about how many people leave nonsense comments, change the subject, mock others despite their sincerity and genuine attempt at discussion.

1. Apply peer pressure.
2. Deliberately sway the conversation in a certain direction.
3. Introduce arguments/counter-arguments to the point where the audience is just completely confused.
4. Dissipate the conversation by introducing topics that have nothing to do with the discussion at hand.
5. Provoke anger, which is useful in promoting polarization and the resulting hate.

Its ironic that many of the people who “see through” propaganda are people that are socially atypical. This can include people that have some anti-social personality traits— people with low levels of agreeability and people who are suspicious and hostile toward others. I think that accounts for the majority of the “disagreeable” users who insult, demoralize, and attack other users.

Some may be too “toxic” to keep around. I know people are stressed. But it gets to the point where voat/talk just seems to be people saying “fuck you” to each other sometimes. There are enough truly miserable cusses to tip the whole site over the edge in to a black pilled frenzy. But Im not sure they are doing this consciously. I find myself getting sucked in to the poo flinging more often then Id like to be.

But yeah, it was apparent at real Voat that part of their method was to shit up the zone with their accounts and attack problematic accounts with defamation and downvotes. Or even any new accounts to drive them into negatives and prompt posting restrictions. They also have AI now too. Bots can impersonate people. They use AI to vote manipulate, drive up upvotes for desired narratives, etc., and not just on this site either. They're all over communities.win. Plus suppress dangerous narratives in favor of ones they may not like but are more manageable. Anything to do with Siege Culture they dislike. Or anything to do with me basically.

Though honestly, I have my doubts about how many organic accounts are even on this site. It often looks like bots arguing with each other. I'm more or less here out of habit or lulz at this point. It's not a serious venue whatever has happened here.
