What got this started was that I tried explaining to Conspirologist why movie theaters were showing sold out for "The Sound of Freedom" while seats remained empty. The reason is very obvious.

I'm always up for a good conspiracy, but when it's easily explained away it detracts from more legitimate conspiracies.
