Because smartphone's are just a thing to get to what I want.

In a dream I can just manifest it so why the fuck would I need a phone for that.

Only within sound (phonic) can there be sequence of sensations (dream)...others suggest words like "phone" and "dream" to distract one from what perceivable implies.

I must be an outlier. I've interacted with my phone in my dreams (though it is very rare), and I can always read normal, legible text in my dreams too.

Same. Even running or punching, which seems to be an issue with many dreamers, i have no problem doing in my dreams. I have used my phone a few times in my dreams.

I had a horrifying lucid nightmare a couple months back (I'm plagued by them). Won't get into it what it was about, but I needed a phone to emergency call my sister; mine was out of commission. I somehow acquired an old flip phone to make the call.

Never had any other dreams involving phones, at least none that can be recalled.

They're vivid to the point where they're typically an alternate reality that's undiscernable from the real world until eldrich phenomena show up. Most of the time I wind up killing myself in them to avoid worse fates (the few times they caught me it caused sleep paralysis). I feel all of the pain and life draining before waking up in cold sweats. Sometimes I have to just lay there and stare into space for a while to decompress.

They're not always bad or filled with malevolent entities; sometimes they're relatively mundane, beautiful, nostalgic, or simply just bizarre. A good 2/3 of them are soul-shattering experiences though. A small percent of the time they also involve false wakes, so I have to "wake up" from several dreams before actually doing it for real. It's a mindfuck that takes time to process. Took a polysomnogram twenty years ago but the test failed because the idiot staff put a screaming toddler in the adjacent room.

I feel i'm stronger than anybody and there is always some way to get upper hand. In my teens, yeah, some beings wanted to get me and then poof sleep paralysis or something worse. After i understood how to lucid dream, things turned around.

Regular stuff. Don't know how to describe it, but the biggest point is to try to jerk my head in real life. First few times i try to do that it feels like i'm doing it, but not in real life. Then i jerk my head for real and after a few times i can move rest of the body. It's like starting an old car.
false wakes
Same as above. Although i don't rush waking up. I like analyzing even in sleep.

That happens to me with guns. I'm being attacked and the triggers feel like they have a 35lb pull, the shots miss, or they don't do enough damage to immediately stop the threat. Sometimes it works out, but not usually.

Funnily enough, I had one two nights ago about browsing voat and reading an awkward exhange between i_scream_trucks and conspirologist. The site and comment chain was clear as day, and their usernames even had the correct colors.

It was real enough to where I doubted my memory and had to double check later that day.

It's your body semi-paralyzing you for your own protection. It's like when you try to run in a dream but your feet can barely move. You can't be thrashing around in your sleep, you could get hurt!

Huh.....

I have reocurring dreams that involve planes and trains.

I suspect when you think of the person to call, theyre instantly in the dream.

Come to think about it, i dont remember dreaming about cordless phones either. Or any phone.

I can't recall ever dreaming about any type of telephone either. Or seeing a television for that matter. Very peculiar.
