TL;DR

I read repair manuals to lift my spirits. Philosophy isn't the only nonfiction one can consume.


I haven't read any books in weeks. It's not normal for me to not read something when I'm winding down each night.

I got back into it though. I needed to brush up on some cnc programming material and couldn't bear it.

I went to my physical library and pulled an old book I haven't read in years; Haynes small engine repair.

It was nostalgic, if that makes sense, and got me into the mood to sit down and trudge through a new programming style I don't want to learn.

I like how I can use old and new tech though, it gets you so much money reliably if you can fix and operate everything.

That's all I really have to say, as if it wasn't enough already.

The common scale is zero to ten.

I prefer zero to two.

Zero = never fuck her, basically invisible

One = I'd fuck her, but I will deny fucking her.

Two = I'd tell people I want her and if asked (and it were true) I would say yes I fucked her.

It confuses the women as well because the scale is so different, but it's very simple.

My inlaw is over to have a lazy Sunday with us. Here's some of what we've said

Fuck you, I'm feeling great and I'm going to share it.

The first harvest has come and gone, more than what we expected. Very busy with storage processes now. Trading some excess away to the neighbors. They gave us some chicken meat.

The rabbits had some beautiful kits that all sold as pets, I think. We bought a mini jersey and a baby goat. The plants are doing amazing, only have one gypsum moth caterpillar so far. It's dead now.

The boy has his front two teeth broken through, they are adorable, this is the best thing I've ever done with myself. He's trying to stand on his own, yet he can't crawl forward, go figure.

Be thankful and praise the sun. We need to enjoy our time here, no matter how bleak it may seem at times.

I'm going to rotate the humanure into the regular compost tomorrow morning before the sun starts heating things up more.

It can't all be glorious, otherwise I wouldn't appreciate this beautiful night, before the poo.

Am I too cynical about this?

We hear this from family and friends all the time about our boy. He isn't perfect, he cries and fusses like any other baby. I'm sure there are different "difficultly" levels of babies but all we do is watch his signs. Rubbing his eyes? He's sleepy. Trying to "eat" your knees or hands? He's hungry. All we do is observe his behavior and do what we think he's signaling to us.

Are that many people unable to read non-verbal ques?

The MIL bought us some blankets for the boy, very nice thing to have. About an hour later my wife burned some of the blankets in the fireplace. I didn’t know until the smell hit… Thankfully they were cotton and not some crazy plastic garbage. When I asked her why, she showed me the tiny six pointed stars all over one of them as she threw it into the fire. “I put them where they belong…”

Her mother is now furious with her ‘for overreacting’. Wife says it’s about no one having kike symbolism.

Took the boy to his new doc, weight is great and all is well! When the vaccinations question came up we said we don’t want any, the doc said schools will require it. I said we plan on homeschooling and she said “fantastic! I don’t want him to be poked if he’s not going to need it!” She never brought them up again and was asking if we knew what system we wanted to use. She told me she didn’t vaccinate her babies (who are all over the age of 16 now) and home schools them all.

I think I found a good one!
