My family requests this every holiday and will eat it alone for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients.
4-6 bags cranberries.
1 juiced orange per bag
1 Bosc pear per bag
2 cups honey.
Cinnamon stick
*Anise seed* tsp.

Put honey, oj, cinnamon stick and anise seed in very large pot. Add cranberries and cook med hi. While cranberries are going peel pears and cut into bite size chunks. Add pears near the end of the process. I find they are best if some of the crispness can remain. Cook until berries are all popped. Maybe 20-30 min tops.

Other pears work, but the crunchier they are at the start the better.

I'm going to begin some fermentation experiments in the next few weeks, so I decided to look up others' experience with lids to use with vegetable fermentation.

Sauerkraut is the primary item I am interested in, but I've got plenty of jars to give other things a shot.
My brother likes Kimchi, so I might give that a try in the beginning too.
