My background is now exactly 20 years full time programming. I'm currently a senior developer on a good income.
And I am posting this to tell of the change.
The latest ai model, claude sonnet 4, plus visual studio code agent mode. Has made software developers obsolete.
It can code more in an hour than i can in a week. Trust me, i did not want this to be true. It aggrieved me to see years of study so casually outshone.
What does the future hold? Developers will migrate into "AI editors " roles or be sacked. Running multiple AI at once. Relegated to system architects and supervisors.
So seniors like me are in a good place. Intermediates and juniors are fucked.
My prediction is that we will witness many thousands of developers laid off. 1 senior will do the work of an entire team.
The market will get flooded with new saas built in weeks as opposed to years it took competitors.
I have begun my transistion from the dead industry to the new. I recommend all fellow upgoat devs start immediately to do the same.
I've noticed a few videos now where white libs are out in the streets acting all pompous and a black or hispanic cusses them out. The look on white liby's face is "where tf am I?".

Been trying out different things. If the machines aren't lieing, the elliptical is by far the easiest way to 'burn calories'. Stair machine seems the fastest.
Weighted vests can be used with a stair machine but even with an elliptical the bouncing motion causes the weight to double down on your shoulders. Made my shoulders hurt for like 25 minutes afterwards. Stair machine doesn't do that.
Weight vest will allow 300 calories to take 21 minutes instead of 24 on the elliptical... Stair machine can do this without the vest in 21, I believe 18 with the vest?
I just read everything Tucker said on Steve Bannon show and the letter he wrote a few days ago. Basically Tucker said Israel should fight their own war. Trump hasn't said anything contrary. Am I missing something? They both agree Iran can not have nukes.
I hope we won't sent our children to fight a war that Bibi COULD have avoided...
