The "Top submissions" button now displays the top posts of the day and I've added a different button for viewing the all time top posts called "Highest Voted"

Also you can also view the top posts of any day by adding a date to the url. For instance, add &date=08-18-2021 to the end of the url to view the top posts from a couple days ago.

I've wanted to put in trophies for a awhile but it wasn't important compared to all the other stuff that needs work. Well I found a good reason to implement them. Using this as an index in the database to separate users will speed the site up a bit. Any artists out there want to create an original icon ? Another trophy idea I have "Verified voat.co account", for those who are verified (not many). Let's hear your trophy ideas.

To quote a message simply insert [s]two[/s] one '>' with the quoted text after it. The quote will end when you insert a line break.

It's a simple feature but it was a bitch to implement, working with strings in PHP is torture. [s]I am going to try to get it down to one '>' but this works for now.[/s]

Emojis now display, but more importantly no longer cause posts to fail, resulting in lost text.

You can also ping with punctuation now, so '@system!' or '@system,' should work.

Looks like there was a bug when replying through the 'last comment' link.

Based on the numerous complaints I've received regarding adult content, I've introduced some new options to the site.

1. Adult content must be labeled as such when submitting. This is automatically done for posts submitted to subs tagged as adult. Currently the only adult sub is /v/playboy

2. Posts labeled adult will have a 'xxx' flair

3. There is now an option to hide adult content in your account options

4. Additionally the www.talk.lol domain will not display adult content. However it does display nsfw content.

What is considered adult content? Anything that is meant to entice sexual arousal. Art, and other forms of nudity which are not meant to spark sexual arousal do not have to be labeled as adult content. I can already see your comments "But what arouses someone sexual is different for everybody!", you're right, and if someone creates /v/feet to posts pictures of feet, should it be labeled adult? This I am unsure about, and I will base that decision on community feedback. I doubt these options will stop the complaints, but I think it's a good idea to have them regardless.

I am going with bbcode, as I dislike the way reddit handles it. I forget how voat.co did it, but I believe it was bbcode.
